Look towards your past
But you won't find solace there
Only pain remains

Only pain remains
Don't live in the shadow of your past, but forge a new path towards your future.
Many of us have things in our pasts that we feel we will never escape. Maybe it's a memory of a bad time, or the person we used to be. However, living with our past hanging over us is only preventing us from forging a new life for ourselves. We can't change what we have done; it makes no sense to dwell on it all the time, either. I've slowly had to learn to stop living in the past, and realize that I can still change, that who I was isn't who I am anymore.
